after 15 jears riding Toyota Landcruiser heavy duty series and several trips with expeditional caracter for example iceland I own an Kangoo 4X4 for one week now. The reasons for change were the better daily use and economy. But especially for riding in Icelands backcountry I would never go there with an Kangoo in spite of you have often to cross a river and 80 cm deeph and more is quite normal. If you look at the costs of shipping, I would rent an fourwheeler with low range gear and a little bit more stability as our Kangoo is. For one time I rent an Subaru Legacy at Iceland but the limits were shown very soon. An area to test 4X4 vehicles for Icelandic qualitys is in the near of Udine/North Italy.
