I have a kangoo van 1.9D, I have bought second hand with 74K on the clock but full service history.
I have a few problems with the engine I wondered if anyone could help.
Firstly, The gear box........Its very hard to change down into 1st, 2nd 3rd when slowing down etc.. stick needs a wiggle to get it in place??
When accelorating through the gears the throttle seems to stick then suddlenly jump forward and speed up?? Both these things only happen when the engine is warm??
Also, my keyfob remote doesn't lock rear door......?? should it?

Thankyou for your help....these are not major problems just they get on my nerves a bit.

Steve

Hi Steve,
where do You live?
I have the same type of car with the same engine and 114k kilometers without any big problems and I still want to keep it longer.

This seems to be a problem with syncronizing. It's not normal. In my car changing the gears is very.

This behavior is well known and comes from the gxhaust gas re-injection system (is re-injection the right word?). If You close the EGR-valve manually by putting off the vacuum tube (and locking the tube's ends), this behavior should disappear. But: here in germany it's illegal to do so. In case You can live with this behavior, You can let it be as it is.

Also, my keyfob remote doesn't lock rear door......?? should it?

Yes, normally it should. I have also my remote in use, because in the first one the battery was down, and it locks all the doors.

Yours,
Chris
