Hello Ron,
nether mind, our "Nederlands" is not as good, neither.
Renate found this issue, so let me answer you.
Perhaps you'll find the result one month later on www.autobild.de => Test und Technik (on the left) => Allrad. Actually, there's also a test about the 1,9dci.
Back on the homepage there's a very small yellowish button top/middle "allesallrad", where you can see the cover of this issue, but nothing more.
So let me summarize briefly.
model ranking:
Renault - 290 points
+ lot of space for people and things
+ good comfort (suspension)
+ sufficient security features
+ best ground clearance in test
- biggest turning circle
- worst power on steep ascents
- midget pull load
- low seat position (rem: that's relative, compared to height of car)
Mitsubishi - 268 points
+ seats are quite good
+ good trip perfomance
+ good brake perfomance
+ quite good pull performance
- insurance quite high ("VollKasko"
- high fuel consumption
- very few space for knees of passengers on rear seats
- bad ground clearance
Daihatsu - 236 points
+ lowest fuel consumption
+ cheap insurance
+ small tuning circle
+ just even useable size of interior
- instable behaviour in curves (rem: yep: Kangoo has been turned out to be very stable in curves surprisingly, despite his height. )
- brakes
- off road usage
- noisy driving
Suzuki - 222 points
+ best price
+ best offroader in test
+ lowest fuel consumption
+ very low cost
- unsufficient brakes
- unstable in curves
- hardly any comfort
- very few interior space
Kangoo wins by low costs, because of the advantages of his box-like appearance (i.e space, space, space), ground clearance and his variable slip regulation (100:0 => 50:50)
Rem: the author was definitely no Kangoo fan, starting the article by:
"Bad news first: All four 4x4 won't go as status symbols. For this purpose, they are too small, and much too reasonable choices, as to be taken for a noble toy. All ahead the french Kangoo having a super practical box appearance, which exceeds itself from common beauty conceptions totally."
Well, I hope that's sufficient for first instance
